If you’ve got a head for heights the Via Ferrata is a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience that gives you the chance to climb over 2000ft to the summit of Fleetwith Pike in the heart of the Lake District. To work your way up to the peak you’ll not only have to scale the rock face, you’ll also have to conquer a giant cargo net, and cross a 150ft wire bridge that’s suspended over 500ft in the air! All the hard work’s definitely worth it though, and when you make it to the top you’ll be greeted by spectacular views of Buttermere.

All specialist equipment is included and free photos. Customers must bring warm clothing (no jeans), hat, gloves, sturdy footwear, waterproofs and drink. We can also arrange transport to the venue from a single location in Newcastle.

Via Ferrata Xtreme

Literally translating as the 'Iron Way' the Via Ferrata in Honister is the only one of its kind in the UK, offering unparalleled views and an unforgettable experience in the Lake District. As the name suggests the Xtreme version will really test your head for heights and is certainly not for the faint hearted! There are plenty of cliff edge ladders to scramble up plus a cargo net and wire bridge to negotiate. But it's all worth it in the end with stunning views for miles around once you reach the summit of Fleetwith Pike.
